As a design-builder, we offer a one-stop experience for you to live in a home that has been designed just for you and built on a lot that you chose and own. It is important to note that not every builder is a designer and not every designer is a builder. Understanding the difference is critical to the success of every custom home project.

When you partner with us, you work directly with us from the beginning of the process to the end of the process where you receive the keys to your home because we are a design builder. Following is a detailed description of our design and build process.

Our Easy 4 Step Design and Build Process

  1. Complimentary Consultation
    Our process begins with a meeting that lasts about an hour. During this meeting, you educate us about your vision for your new home, your functional space needs, how that functional space must flow, your lifestyle requirements for accommodating special needs, entertaining, age-in-place needs, and design style preferences for interior and exterior spaces. We also seek to learn about the lot on which your home will be built and target budgets to guide the design exercise. You will learn about us, our experience and our company’s history and track record of performance.
  2. Plan and Pricing Review
    About one week after the initial meeting, we meet again to review the design sketches we created to represent what we learned from you. We generally meet over 90% of your initial requests and continue to refine the sketches based on our discussions during the plan review. Once we secure agreement from you that the sketches meet your needs and expectations, we then present our price to construct the home. At the end of this meeting, both sides are equipped to discuss next steps.
  3. Contract Signing
    Shortly after the plan and pricing review meeting occurs, a simple construction agreement is prepared and presented providing the buyer is ready for that step. Once the construction agreement is signed by both parties, the build process begins with a complimentary preview session with our interior design center staff.
  4. Build Process
    Sketches are converted to CAD drawings, you work with our design center to select colors and accessories, surveys and soil tests are ordered, permit packages are prepared, along with many other activities to facilitate the building permit being received. You will meet with us at specific intervals during the construction process and will sign off on completion just before you close and collect your keys.
